So I'd like to thank Sophie, for inspiring me to get off my jacksy and give it a go and not worry too much about how it turns out. Do pop over to her very pretty blog, she takes the most lovely pictures and on her travels she finds great stuff.
Patchwork, I'm flipping loving it!

ReplyDeleteWhen I was making my quilt it took me ages to get my act together and finish it : )
Gemma xXx
Oooh Pretty! I LOVE the fabric. Well done. Are you sewing it all by hand? It looks great, can't wait to see the finish.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I have been trying to make a hand stitched quilt too
ReplyDeleteJulie xxxxxxx
Above my poxy capabilities. Taken me two years to master a basic crochet stitch. But you, oh goddess of clever craftiness, are too cool.
ReplyDeleteI salute you dude!
xx
A very pretty patchwork...I love the fabrics you have selected. I have never had a go at making my own patchwork before..but seeing this has inspired me to give one a go some time in the near future. Thanks for sharing the link...off to check it out now.

Woohoo! Well done. I've just been over to Sophie's blog and spilled my stream of consciousness there so I won't do it here as well. Suffice it to say that you have probably realised that this is an addiction and it will need to be fuelled with lots of lovely fabric so start making room in your cupboards.
ReplyDeleteWell done you!
ReplyDeleteMy, this is gonna keep you busy.....
You should be very pleased though Missy, as your fabrics looks so pretty!
I wasn't sure about having ago too, but unsure as to when and whether you take out the card!!
I need step by step instructions here!hehe.
I perhaps need to get my brain in gear, before my hands run away....
Have a good one!
Aww thank you for your kindest wishes over on mine.
You are very lovely!

Hello Missy...oh thankyou you are lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is looking gorgeous, well done, I love the colours you have chosen, how big will you go...I wonder?
So I am hoping to do a update later, I've been poorly so have been sitting sewing lots....Thanks lovely for the mention, have a lovely weekend xx
Thank you Ladies,
DeleteHave popped over to lovely Sophie's blog and am up to date now!!
just need to start step one now!!
Happy Days!!
I've also been drooling over Sophie's lovely hexie's and now I'm drooling over you gorgeous squares! I've had some fabric scraps sitting in a box waiting for just such a project so....I'm going to give this a go as soon as I can find some suitable card.
ReplyDeleteHave fun sewing all those pretty squares together. :0)
That's smashing - great colours too. I am far too impatient to even think about doing that but am enjoying looking at others work. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great! I have only ever made a 9 square cushion previously, but it did come out quite well so I guess I know the basic principles. Excitingly, I have a patchwork course starting next Tuesday at my friend's coffee and cake shop - I can't wait! I'd LOVE to make a quilt, another friend showed me an amazing one her mum made for her little girl, it was diamonds making the box pattern, if you know what I mean. I get a bit paralysed about choosing fabrics and whether they'll 'go' though.
ReplyDeletehey - you have such a lovely blog!
ReplyDeleteWill ook forward to following you1

Well done Missy, its looking great. Still loving the folded crochet blankets peeping out under your table ;) looks so cool,I am going to copy....lol xxxjuliexxx
ReplyDeletehello Missy
ReplyDeletethanks for your comments on my latest post...well I've had my rant so I won't go into feeling tempted again to start this up and make it my fifth make on the go.....yes fifth I've just added a fourth...groan! I wouldn't be tempted you know if this patchwork you've started didn't look so good now would I? I particularly like the selection of fabric and patterns. It all seems to go together really well.
I also am a Kindle user and totally agree it will never be a substitute for real books but in my case its much cheaper to download an e-book and particularly the one of my choice than buy a real book here...which can be double the UK price here. As you say though its also great when you are travelling
Keep well
Amanda :-)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabrics and colours - I'm having a go at patchwork too - I have a friend who is amazing at it and she is passing on her skills - I may be trying her patience though :-) Just found your lovely blog and am adding you to my reading list, Bee x
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments Missy, yes it is a cruel illness, lets hope they find a cure soon.
ReplyDeleteThis patchwork is fab! I am going to have a good old look around your blog after I have finished the shopping, good incentive for me! Ada :)
Hi Missy! Your patchwork is awesome and your puppy is the cutest!! Thanks for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics you're using. It's going to be very pretty. I've never had the patience to sew it all by hand like that. I usually just whizz them through the machine without tacking!
